Christmas Fun Days

We are almost at the end of the year - just 1 1/2 days of school to go now.
This week we have been busy with Christmas crafts and cooking. Here are some pictures of our Christmas Ice Cream Cone Trees, Christmas Gingerbread and Christmas Trees made with strips of coloured paper.

We also had a shared party lunch with our friends from Room 8 at lunchtime! We had so much yummy food - and the great thing is, there are still leftovers to enjoy tomorrow!

Big Day In!

Bad weather meant that we had our Big Day Out to Thomson Park changed to a Big Day In at school.
We had a great time with a gigantic obstacle course from Bibbidi Bobbidi Bounce, fun trying out all of the different Pedalmania crazy bikes, scooter/skateboarding on the courts, movies in Room 4, moonhoppers, sports gear and a yummy Cheeseburger and sausage sizzle at lunchtime using the ASB Community BBQ. A big thanks to the Red Cross Grant that enabled our whole school to have a fun day at the end of a long year.

Our trip to Broad Park

On Friday we were meant to be going to a performance, but some of the cast members were sick so the teachers decided to still take us out for lunch and a play at an awesome playground at Broad Park which is near Waimairi Surf Club.
We really enjoyed getting out and about with the rest of the junior and middle school. Everyone had so much fun.
Here are some pictures of Aranui Primary students at Broad Park. Thank you to the teachers and staff who let us come along - and to Fulton Hogan and the Salvation Army, who helped us with buses for this trip and for the A&P show.

Room 7 sings Nga Tae (The Colours) waiata

This term Whaea Sally and Mrs Derrick have been teaching us this song! We filmed ourselves singing it the other day!

Our A&P Show iMovie

We created the following video using the Hello Crayon and Explain Me apps on our iPads. Mrs Derrick then compiled it into this iMovie. We hope you like our pictures of the things we saw at the A&P Show on 13 November.
Please leave a comment if you can!
