Athletic Sports Day

We had our school athletic sports day today. We took part in the junior rotation. We did Jumping for length and height with Mrs Derrick, Relay's with Mrs White, Throwing for accuracy with Mrs Togiaso and Throwing for distance with Whaea Heather.
We tried really hard at all of these things and had a lot of fun. At the end we had sprints and moonhopper races.

Term 3 Art Project

We have been busy working all term on our contribution to the school art project - we started with draft pictures of 'Anything' pictures, then 'Present' pictures and finally 'Future' pictures. We then painted our 'Present' picture of us at school onto the wood panels that we spent an afternoon sanding, then oiling. We helped Whaea Alice with stripping the harakeke flax a few weeks ago, and she will be carefully hanging all of the panels with Steve in the next week so the Art can be unveiled on Thursday at a special dedication in the hall.
Our art journey!
