Our visit to the Early Learning Centre Kindergarten
On Tuesday 25th of June we visited the Aranui Early Learning Centre across the road from our school. Salem and Caleb met some of their old teachers and friends. We all had fun. On Wednesday we each wrote a sentence about some of the things we did during our visit.
I climbed on the frame and jumped down.
Toreka
I was picking up boxes. I needed them for the side of the house.
Jasmine
I went on the computer with Keira.
Salem
Salem's on the slide. He is sliding on the slide.
Tua
I climbed on the bridge. I was running.
Caleb
I played in the sandpit.

Mr Achimedes Bath by Pamela Allen
We wanted to see how this worked so we did our own experiment using a plastic container, water and rocks from our nature table.
We discovered that when an object is placed into water it disperses the volume of water equal to its own volume.

Three Bear Maths
Toreka lined her yellow bears up. |
Caleb had green to line up. |
Today during maths we sorted our 3 bear family counters into different groups.
First we sorted them into colour groups, then lined them up according to size. Then we all chose a different group and counted them up.
We recorded a statement for each of our groups which you can read below.
Tua lined up his red bears. |
Jasmine lined her blue bears around the circle. |
Here is some of our discovering. |
