On Thursday our class was visited by Sue Rhind. She showed us how some children and adults wear hearing aids or wear a speech processor to help them hear. She dressed up Mr Potato Head and we told her that Mr Potato Head needed eyes to
see, a nose to smell, a mouth to taste and ears to hear. When someone
can't hear well, they sometimes need to wear hearing aids, and Mr Potato
Head had his own. Then she showed us Cochlear Bear who had a cochlear
implant just like our friend Anise has.
Sue read us a story about Millie the Elephant who was also born deaf.
